SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
The Broome County Land Bank Corporation (BCLBC) is soliciting Request for Proposals (“RFP”) from qualified interested parties for the purchase and redevelopment of 47 North Street, Binghamton, NY 13905. Property will be sold “as-is”. The house at 47 North Street, known as “The Sturtevant House” was constructed sometime around 1869. It is designed in the Second Empire Style. It is the former home of James W. Sturtevant who was a main proprietor of the Sturtevant-Larrabee Company, the largest manufacturer of wagons, sleighs and carriages in late 19th century and early 20th century Binghamton. The City of Binghamton’s Commission on Architecture and Design (CAUD) issued a determination of historical significance for 47 North Street, therefore any design/site plans for the property will be subject to review by CAUD. The house is currently vacant and the exterior is fair but showing signs of deterioration.
